I started getting into jewelry using my hand-knotted technique. I love how the simplicity of creating a knot between each bead really showcases the facets and character of the stone. I found this way of creating the necklace to be quite meditative and even though it takes quite a bit of time to create a completed piece, I find it very rewarding in the end. I switched to using nylon rather than silk thread for it's longevity but I don't mind restringing the creation for you!
I love adding a pearl to the hand-knotted creations and chose this silvery blue Australian South Sea pearl as it's pendant. The combination of the electric blue color of the apatite with the silvery blue pearl adds character to both and gives it this symbiotic type of existence.
Materials
14k gold fill is a 5% solid 14k gold layer that has been pressure bonded onto a base metal: brass or copper. Acting and looking like solid gold, it’s hypo-allergenic to most skin types and won't turn black or rub off onto the skin. It resists tarnishing, retains its rich gold color, and can withstand persistent wear.
