Not a true "diamond", a Herkimer diamond is actually a double terminated quartz crystal found in the Herkimer Mines in upstate New York.  These beautiful little crystals grow sitting on the matrix giving it a look as if they are diamonds when they're found.  They're made with silicon dioxide, the same material most our own bodies are made of so it a balancing and harmonizing stone.  With the double terminated growth pattern, it conducts energy both inward and outward making it a powerful bioregulating stone.
