Ruby + Spinel Choker

I had the inspiration to combine black and pink, one of my favorite color combos, when I came up with this creation.  The choker style gave to me a modern design on the black and pink combo yet I added a long extended clasp so that it can be worn as a short necklace, too.  This piece can be layered or worn solo.  The rubies are from southern India and both stones are natural in color.  The necklace starts at 13" and can be extended to 16".

MATERIAL

Gold fill is the metal material I prefer to use the most.  14k gold fill is a 5% solid 14k gold layer that has been pressure bonded onto a base metal: brass or copper.  Acting and looking like solid gold, it’s hypo-allergenic to most skin types and won’t turn black or rub off onto the skin.  It resists tarnishing, retains its rich gold color, and can withstand persistent wear.
